Paula D. Langworthy has been in private practice in Wichita since graduation from Washburn University School of Law in December, 2005. Paula also serves as Special Judge for the Oglala Lakota Tribal Courts in South Dakota. Paula has devoted her practice to handling family law matters for over seven years, including property valuation and division, child custody and parenting time, child support, spousal support, paternity, common-law marriage, and many other aspects of family law. She also has experience in contested estate litigation, contested adoptions, and general civil litigation.


She has a strong desire to help individuals involved in family law matters, mainly due to her own experiences as a child of divorce and having gone through a divorce herself. Her combined life and law practice experience give Paula the skills and knowledge necessary to help guide individuals through their domestic situations.

 

Paula grew up in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the capital of the Cherokee Nation, of which she is a proud member. She obtained her B.S. in Criminal Justice/Administration of Justice from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Oklahoma and graduated with honors from Washburn University School of Law.

 

Paula is a Missouri-Kansas Super Lawyer honoree in the field of Family Law for 2021, a member of the Leadership Wichita class of 2014, the recipient of the 2009 Pro Bono Certificate from the Kansas Bar Association, and a 2009 Wichita Business Journal “40 Under 40” Honoree. She is licensed to practice law in Kansas and South Dakota. Paula is an active member of the Wichita Bar Association, Wichita Women Attorneys Association, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas Women Attorneys Association and the American Bar Association.

 

Paula and her husband, Kurt, live in Derby, Kansas. Kurt and Paula are a blended family with five sons, three daughters-in-law and four amazing granddaughters. Paula and her family are active members of their church in Derby.

Julie Lange

Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Julie Lange is a graduate of the Wichita State University Legal Assistant program and has been working exclusively in the area of family law for more than 31 years.


She is a knowledgeable and dedicated team member at Langworthy Law Office, and she is valued and trusted by our clients.


Julie grew up in Derby, Kansas and currently resides in Wichita, Kansas. She has two adult sons and is a proud Navy mom. When Julie is not working hard for our clients, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching sports and reading.
